With a growth in the retail channel of 106% compared to 2022 (29,833 cars compared to 14,499 in the previous year) and a market share that rises to 2.86%, Dr Automobiles Groupe closed 2023 with a strengthening of its presence in Italy in all the segments in which it is present.
Registrations in our country of the four current brands (Dr, Evo, Sportequipe and X) reached 32,657 units, which rise to 36,193 if sales in Spain are considered. Revenue grew to around €700 million, which is 52% more than the €458 million in 2022.
Three models are present in the Top 10 of LPG cars. In fifth place was the Dr 7.758
with 4,0 units; in sixth place is the Dr 5.0 with 7,293 units and the Dr 6.0 which closes the ranking with 4,567 units. To these numbers must be added the 1,881 registrations in the N1 category of the Dr PK8 and Evo Cross4 pick-ups, which bring the Group's sales in Italy to a total of 34,532 units.
Bi-fuel power, through the Thermohybrid system, was a precise choice, supported from the beginning by Dr Automobiles and therefore amply rewarded by the market. In fact, 82% of the Group's total registrations are bi-fuel petrol/LPG models. From next year, the BEV share is also set to grow thanks to the Dr 1.0 EV, which will allow buyers to benefit from the new government incentives.
The 2023 result - reads the note - is "a very encouraging result that testifies to the actual appreciation, especially by private customers, of both the quality of the product and the related commercial policy, which has always been focused on maximum transparency and high value for money". These results have also been made possible by important commercial campaigns, such as Gamma Dr Formula 0 and Evo Rottama Tutto supported by high-impact advertising and communication plans. 2024 will be a year full of news for the entire Group, not only with the arrival of new models for the current four brands but also with the launch of new brands.
All this will also entail a new and more structured organizational structure on a commercial level. Currently, the Italian sales network has a total of 270 dealers and 350 service centers for Dr and Evo. The Sportequipe and X network, which currently has 30 dealers, is booming. The new brands will have dedicated sales networks. From an industrial point of view, a substantial expansion of the Macchia d'Isernia hub is planned, through the design of a new production plant, which will complement the two already operational. A further expansion of the research center and spare parts warehouse is planned. DR also announces an increase in employment compared to the current workforce of 500 people.
