New chapter in the war between two teams in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône), competing to keep control of drug trafficking established in the city of La Paternal.
Thirteen people, suspected of being members of the DZ mafia, were arrested this week as part of the investigation into a double homicide that occurred in Salou in Spain, in May 2023, far from the Marseille lands, the daily scene of territorial conflicts between drug traffickers.

On May 3, around 10:20 p.m., a Renault Captur with a falsified license plate approached another car parked in front of a hotel.
Inside the Renault, three hooded men opened fire on the two occupants of the other vehicle.

The driver is fatally injured.
His passenger later succumbed to his injuries.
A few hours later, a Spanish police patrol spotted the Renault Captur on fire at a rest area.
Inside, heavy weapons were discovered: two automatic pistols, including a Beretta 92, a Kalashnikov and two grenades.
What are the tracks?
Near the burned vehicle, a man from Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) was arrested.
The investigation will show that Zacharie B., 24, was staying in a hotel in Salou with three other individuals.
A first lead which will probably allow investigators to trace the perpetrators of this double narcocide.

The Central Office for the Fight against Organized Crime (OCLCO), the Marseille PJ Criminal Brigade and the Spanish police services under the direction of the investigating courts of Marseille (Jirs) and Tarragona are jointly conducting the investigation.
Who are the victims ?
The two men were likely victims of a new settling of scores, in the war between the DZ Mafia and the Yoda clan since the beginning of 2023. The driver of the car targeted by the shots was called Omar B., known as Scar, 28 years old .
He was the brother-in-law of Félix B., known as the Cat or Féfé, the head of the Yoda clan.

Scar had been wanted since his sentence in May 2023 to six years for his participation in the assassination in 2016 in Marseille of Rodolphe Sadjian, the “tattooist of the Carthusians”.
The passenger in the bullet-riddled car is Nadir A., known as Belabed or Morales, 25 years old.
