After corruption, perjury?
The confessions of former BFMTV presenter Rachid M'Barki, in the judicial investigation into suspicions of foreign interference in the French political-media world, are not without consequences.
During his police custody on December 6 at the Economic Crime Repression Brigade (BRDE), the 54-year-old journalist admitted for the first time to having been paid for the broadcast of biased subjects in the edition of the night that he presented on the 24-hour news channel.

He explained that these contentious sequences had been “suggested” to him by his source, lobbyist Jean-Pierre Duthion, himself operating on behalf of foreign sponsors wishing to carry out influence campaigns in France.
“I happened to receive sums of money,” admitted the journalist indicted for “passive corruption.”
