The trial of Commissioner Grégoire Chassaing for “involuntary manslaughter” after the death of Steve Maia Caniço in Nantes in 2019 after a controversial police intervention will take place from June 10 to 14, we learned on Friday from the Rennes prosecutor's office.
“The trial of the police commissioner referred to the Rennes criminal court to respond to the facts of involuntary homicide to the detriment of Steve Maia Caniço will be held from Monday June 10 to Friday June 14, 2024,” the prosecutor of the Republic of Rennes Philippe Astruc, confirming information from Presse-Océan.
