The A64 blocked “for an indefinite period”?
Since Thursday, farmers have occupied the A64 motorway near Carbonne (Haute-Garonne) to protest against the lack of state aid and new restrictions.
This Friday morning, “blockages are still in progress on the A64 motorway in both directions between interchanges 26 and 27”, wrote the prefecture on X (formerly twitter).
“Anticipate or postpone your trips,” she warns.
The call to block this portion of the road was launched by the local FDSEA (federation of farmers' unions).
“As a reminder, only empty skips, no waste will be dumped,” the organization warned on social networks.
She demands, among other things, an “urgent release of the envelopes promised by the State”, but also not to modify irrigation authorizations and “no additional taxes”.

Bales of straw, tractors and various equipment were installed on the highway to mark the blockage, and farmers spent the night on site, according to France Bleu.
