The images are spectacular.
This Saturday at 4:45 p.m., a motorist coming from the Val-Thorens ski resort lost control of his van, crashed into a safety barrier and fell into the Doron de Bozel, at the entrance to Moûtiers (Savoie).
The individual then found himself stuck in his vehicle which was threatening to sink.
Around twenty firefighters were then mobilized for this intervention, as well as a truck equipped with a lifting arm and a basket, lowered to the level of the vehicle to rescue the man.

The latter was only very slightly injured, but was transported as a precaution to Albertville hospital.
The vehicle was then evacuated from the river bed.
The bridge crossing the river was closed for more than an hour, as was the entrance ramp to a national road.
The Doron de Bozel is a tributary of the left bank of the Isère, and therefore a sub-tributary of the Rhône.
