A lot now awaits the novice driver.

As a police officer, you certainly experience a lot in everyday life - and yet there are always events, especially in traffic, that amaze even long-serving officers.

These include, for example, fraudsters who hand out fake traffic tickets, drunk drivers who fall asleep in the car wash and people who destroy speed cameras or even blow up speed traps.

An unusual incident also occurred in Munich: a novice driver raced through the city at speeds of up to 160 km/h.

But the speed rush is now costing the man dearly.

At around 1:15 a.m., a civilian traffic police patrol in Munich noticed a Mercedes on the Georg-Brauchle-Ring that was clearly traveling too fast.

The officers pursued the speeder - and immediately documented his speeding on video.

The 20-year-old driver raced through Munich at up to 160 km/h; the police recorded an average speed of 125 km/h.

A maximum of 50 km/h was permitted.

During the probationary period, a distinction is made between A and B violations

For new drivers who are still on probation, a distinction is made between A and B violations.

There are consequences for either two (less serious) B violations or one serious A violation.

In addition to overtaking when overtaking is prohibited, red light violations and using a cell phone while driving, exceeding the speed limit by more than 20 km/h also counts as an A violation.

The Munich speedster clearly falls into the latter category.

In addition, the 20-year-old also has to complete a so-called advanced seminar - and his probationary period is extended to four years.
