The new potions of "Panoramix" landed him in court.

On the Internet, Jean-Yves T. sold anabolic steroids that he manufactured by hand to bodybuilding enthusiasts.

The trial of this alleged trafficker of doping products and drugs, and his eight co-defendants, opened this Monday in Paris.

The 34-year-old man is suspected of having gained thousands of euros thanks to this alleged trafficking, set up in 2019 and 2020 and based in the Toulouse region.

He is on trial before the Paris Criminal Court for manufacturing, importing, acquiring, transferring and transporting “poisonous substances” and medicines, all in an organized gang, as well as for the illegal exercise of the profession of pharmacist.

The Order of Pharmacists has also become a civil party.

Alongside him appear seven men aged 26 to 43, themselves steroid users.

The courts accuse them of having been involved to varying degrees in trafficking.

Some would have stored the “goods”, others managed orders and deliveries, still others participated in the making of capsules and injectable products.

The last defendant is “Panoramix’s” own mother, prosecuted for “complicity” in respect of the “logistical assistance” she allegedly provided to her son.

“Archaic and dangerous” manufacturing conditions

According to the prosecution, the main defendant had set up an “online store” where he sold his products under the “Androgenix” brand.

“Everything (was) done to attract the customer: a professional-looking website, promotional offers, and guaranteed delivery in France and abroad within 48 hours,” noted the gendarmerie at the time of the dismantling of the network, in September 2020. However, “these products banned from sale may cause weight gain but above all cause loss of health, with consequences that can be dramatic,” the gendarmes emphasized.

According to investigators, “Panoramix” purchased the active ingredients of its products in China.

Then he made the capsules himself, by mixing the active ingredient with an excipient - flour or lactose - using a kitchen blender.

As for the vials of injectable products, he sterilized them with boiling water and alcohol, in what he himself described as an “underground laboratory”.

Due to these “archaic and dangerous manufacturing conditions”, the risks were “non-hypothetical” for consumers, according to an expert opinion included in the file.

“Panoramix” must be questioned on the facts on Monday, the first day of the trial scheduled for six hearing days, until January 31.
