The Atessa plant, in Abruzzo, was inaugurated on 28 February 1981 and covers an area of 1.2 million square meters of which approximately 376,000 are covered.

Today the Fiat Professional Ducato, Peugeot Jumper, Citroen Boxer and Opel Vauxhall models are produced.

There are approximately 5,000 employees, 21% women, average age 46 years.

Inaugurated with the birth of the 50 percent joint venture between Fiat and PSA, 7.3 million vans have been produced for the Fiat Professional, Peugeot and Citroen brands since 1981.

From 2022, the production of the Opel Vauxhall brand commercial vehicle has also been added.

Until the merger between FCA and PSA, the plant had the name of Sevel, an acronym for European Light Vehicle Society.

For sixteen consecutive years, the symbolic model of Fiat Professional has been elected "Best base for campers" by the readers of the prestigious German magazine Promobil, confirming its leadership in the motorhome sector.

The motto of the Abruzzo plant is "We speak with facts".

This attitude is also demonstrated by the relationship between the volumes of components entering the plant and the number of vehicles produced.

Every day, compared to 400 trucks and 2 trains of materials, 190 trucks and ten trains exit.
