A 53-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach on Tuesday in the Saint-Brieuc court (Côtes-d'Armor).
He was hospitalized, reports Le Télégramme.
“This person was approaching to come and speak in court before his case was called.
He apparently wanted to be assisted by a lawyer.
The bailiff asked him to sit down and wait,” explains Saint-Brieuc public prosecutor Nicolas Heitz.
“The man then left the room before his case was called, went to the toilets on the ground floor and stabbed himself in the stomach with a kitchen knife in his possession. .

Police officers then saw the injured man and tried to help him before he was taken care of by firefighters.
His life is not in danger, says the prosecutor.
The defendant was to appear for acts of breach of trust to the detriment of a vulnerable person committed in 2021, indicates Ouest-France which specifies that the hearing has been postponed.
