Solidarity is being organized after the death of a farmer and her 12-year-old daughter on a farmers' roadblock in Ariège this Tuesday.
A prize pool will be opened online to help their loved ones, announced Jérôme Bayle, one of the figures of the protest movement at the microphone of BFM.
“I asked for a call for help because Jean-Michel, her husband, will not be able to work again and we have no work stoppage in agriculture,” explains this cattle breeder based in Haute-Garonne.
The animals have to eat every day, it really takes people to look after them.

Alexandra Sonac, 36, died after being hit by a motorist in Pamiers on Tuesday shortly before 6 a.m.
The young woman was participating in a farmers' roadblock on the RN20, with her husband Jean-Michel and their daughter Camille at the time of the accident.
The 12-year-old girl died from her injuries Tuesday evening.
The father, seriously injured, was in serious condition.
Alexandra Sonac, a member of the FNSEA, was based a few kilometers away, in Saint-Félix-de-Tournegat, where she grew seed corn and raised around a hundred beef cattle with her husband.

Jérôme Bayle also asked farmers to take turns on the bereaved family's farm.

These dams made it possible to recreate an agricultural solidarity which was beginning to fail us and which at the time was the strength of our profession,” greets the farmer.
On Tuesday, a neighbor of the couple already mobilized to care for the Sonac herd, whose farm was sadly deserted.

The tragedy plunged the entire valley where the victim's family resides into grief.
“Alexandra was in all the fights,” said Clémence Biard, president of the Young Farmers of Ariège.
She had the strength and the soul to defend the agricultural world.
She was a small, dynamic woman, who had chosen to spend the night on the dam with the other farmers.

The death of Alexandra is a “drama that upsets us all”, President Emmanuel Macron reacted on Tuesday on X, asking the government to provide “concrete solutions” to the difficulties of the profession.
“I think with emotion of the victims and their bereaved loved ones,” the head of state wrote on X.
An investigation, entrusted to the police, was opened for aggravated manslaughter and aggravated injuries.
The three passengers of the car, of Armenian nationality, which hit the family were arrested at the scene and placed in police custody.
The driver like the two passengers had been required to leave French territory since the end of 2023 but unknown to the police.
