A horrible discovery.
The tenants of an AirBnb discovered this Saturday, February 10 in the afternoon a corpse in the apartment when they took possession of the accommodation, located in Hœnheim (Bas-Rhin), in the suburbs of Strasbourg, report Les Latest News of Alsace.
These two tenants made the macabre discovery upon their arrival, when they had just retrieved the keys from under the doormat.
The body is that of a 48-year-old man, born in 1975. According to a judicial source, it is probably a friend of the owner of the premises, usually responsible for the maintenance of the apartment between two stays of tenant.
The Latest News from Alsace specifies that the victim had a set of keys to the apartment as part of his mission.
The first elements do not suggest intentional homicide and the theory of a natural death is for the moment favored.
However, an investigation has been opened to determine the exact cause of death and an autopsy will be carried out in the coming days.
