A special with a convertible bodywork in a unique example of the very luxurious Century sport utility was created by Toyota to be awarded as a prize to the 2024 national sumo champion. The model used as the basis for this one-off in the Manufacturer's ambitions aims to rival in price, style , finishes and technology with the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is on sale in the Land of the Rising Sun and in some selected markets with prices starting from around 185,000 euros.

It is a four-door car without a central pillar which, expressly for the parade of the national Sumo tournament, was set up in the rear with a maxi platform instead of the sofa and a bench in the hood area, capable of supporting the weight of two -three xxl size athletes of the sporting specialty.
The images of the car and the related technical explanations, with videos of its creation, were disseminated by the House of the Three Ellipses through the press site and the Toyota Times YouTube channel, intended to communicate the Manufacturer's new mobility projects.

In Japan, sumo is a very popular sport and its champions are real darlings.
Also for this reason the House of the Three Ellipses has decided to propose this exclusive convertible version of the Century for the winner of the Grand Sumo Tournament 2024, the Japanese wrestling championship which kicked off in January with the first of the six events won by the local celebrity Yokozuna Terunofuji.
The fighter himself, together with other champions, paraded in a celebratory parade with the car up for grabs, hoping to be able to drive it himself one day.
At the moment it has not been announced whether this unique example will be followed by series production.
