An update package that includes several new features, including battery preconditioning or car wash mode, is now available for Smart customers and can be downloaded for free over-the air (OTA).

Since the launch of the new generation #, Smart has already released four OTA updates, as recently as the steering wheel heating functionality for all cars.
Smart has now provided a series of new features and optimizations with the OTA update, including battery pre-conditioning, designed for an even faster charging speed for all smart #1s and #3s, in addition to the car wash mode with which it is possible to select 'manual car wash' or 'automatic car wash' via the appropriate drop-down menu.
Also available with the update is the Valet Mode, with which it is possible to inhibit some functions, reserving their access to the owner, as well as limiting the information shared on the central display when the mode is activated.
Emergency lane keeping assist can now be deactivated manually, leaving the driver in full control of his vehicle.
Finally, easy entry is now optimized and the driver's seat returns to the driving position when the driver's door is closed for improved accessibility and better comfort.
