Pagani will be the protagonist at the Shanghai Museum from 4 March to 14 April with the temporary exhibition entitled "The Forms of Air: from Leonardo da Vinci to Pagani Utopia".

The event will be inaugurated on March 4th by Horacio Pagani, founder & chief designer of Pagani Automobili, who will talk about the influence of Leonardo da Vinci in inspiring his own work and that of his team.

The exhibition will feature an iconic model from the history of Pagani Automobili, the Zonda Cinque, presented at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, and created with the aim of being the most extreme road Zonda ever, with a production limited to just five examples .

Inspired by the Zonda R, from which it took the air intakes on the bonnet and roof and new aerodynamic elements, it was the first road car to adopt a carbon-titanium chassis, offering numerous advantages in terms of lightness, resistance and performance, as well as the first Zonda to be fitted with a robotized 6-speed sequential gearbox.

This temporary exhibition represents the third stage of a journey inaugurated in Milan, continued in Leonardo's birthplace and now arrived in Asia.

The inauguration of "The Forms of Air: from Leonardo da Vinci to Pagani Utopia" takes place within the framework of the Italian Design Day 2024, the annual thematic review launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration and with the support of the Ministry of Culture, this year with the theme "Manufacturing Value: inclusiveness, innovation and sustainability".

In detail, on the first floor, the temporary exhibition will explore the influence of Leonardo's intuitions in the genesis of the Pagani Utopia, and you will be able to admire the entire evolution of the car starting from the first original drawings up to the most representative components such as the linkage of the gearbox, the pedals, and the four exhausts.

On the ground floor, visitors will be able to relive essential moments in the history of Pagani Automobili.

Furthermore, next to the temporary exhibition there will be the exhibition "Who is Leonardo da Vinci?", Dedicated to the great artist, his paintings and his drawings, placing alongside his works some masterpieces of Chinese art from the 10th to the 16th century, coming from from the collections of the Shanghai Museum.

"Leonardo was one of the first to argue that art and science can walk together, hand in hand, and that the distance between the two disciplines is in reality only apparent - declared Horacio Pagani, founder & chief designer of Pagani Automobili - this concept is important because it can inspire a new way of interpreting any human activity, and it is what allows for truly universal creations."
