2022-06-08T13:11:53.484Z

Directed by Virginie Lemoine, the new Funambules show will be sung in Paris from June 9 to 12. This collective of 50 artists brings together

Anny Duperey will sing the age difference in a couple where the man is younger than the woman.

Comedian Noémie de Lattre will slam on the taboo of rules, actress Florence Pernel will list figures on the condition of women, starting with 2, for the Social Security number.

They will be around fifty, on the stage of the Alhambra (Paris 10th), to sing, dance flamenco, tap dance and read texts on women.

The Funambules collective is back in action after giving a hundred shows against homophobia.

At the origin of this crazy but necessary project, Stéphane Corbin, composer and author of "Our Parallel Years", an autobiographical book, adapted into a play.

After rising up against anti-marriage protests for all, Stéphane Corbin mobilizes artists to advance women's rights.

“My project was born in 2017, a few months before #MeToo.

The album

Elles

was released in January, now, place on the stage”, rejoices the artist, inhabited by the fight against discrimination.

He called on musical comedy artists, five musicians and a few figures known to the general public such as Virginie Lemoine, Corinne Touzet, Anny Duperey.

An alternation of serious and funny moments

The show alternates serious and funny moments, recites maddening figures on domestic violence, rapes, complaints, in a light tone.

Stéphane Corbin asked advice from feminist comedian Noémie de Lattre, who deconstructs certain clichés in her single-stage “Feminist for men”.

“I checked that Stéphane had not committed any major oversight in the selection of his themes.

I added gynecological violence, which remains a taboo subject.

Noémie de Lattre wrote a song about the Simones (de Beauvoir and Veil) for the show and will offer twenty minutes of her show as the opening act on Thursday evening.

The song that gives her chills?

“What will be enough?

“, sung by Valérie Zaccomer, who evokes the diktats of the regime, cosmetic surgery and wonders how far to go to seduce.

“I am overwhelmed and touched by so much enthusiasm and enthusiasm around this project”, cowardly, full of energy, the comedian.

If she provides the first part on Thursday evening, the cheerful trio Les Coquettes will open the evening on Friday.

"You can't be a woman without being a feminist"

As conductor of this joyful troupe, Virginie Lemoine had to juggle everyone's schedules to set up the rehearsals.

She is thrilled with the result, which will combine 75% songs and 25% lyrics.

The actress experienced her first feminist insomnia at the age of 7, shaken by angry tears.

“I wondered why women weren't allowed to say mass.

I was raised in religion but also feminism, says Virginie Lemoine.

The men around me always defended the cause of women.

Admittedly, things are moving forward, but in a protean way.

#MeToo left the United States, while abortion is today questioned there.

It is important to always fight.

Women remain the most affected population.

I think you can't be a woman without being a feminist.

Virginie Lemoine has known Stéphane Corbin for ten years.

A kindred spirit in its fights against discrimination.

He composes all the music for his shows.

The director guarantees that we come out of “Elles” “nourished by many aspects of the situation of women.

The show, full of derision, sweeps away the progress made and what remains to be done.

“With also touches of flamenco and tap dancing, “Elles” denounces injustices in an unbearable lightness of letters.
