Great Britain bid farewell to Queen Elizabeth II with an impressive funeral service in Westminster Abbey in London.
One of the particularly emotional moments that day was the speech by the Archbishop of Canterbury, who quoted an excerpt from the Queen's corona pandemic speech:

"All those who follow the Queen's example and trust in God can say these words to her: 'We shall meet again.'"
The new King Charles III is visibly moved.
His handwritten farewell greeting to his deceased mother is in the bouquet of flowers on her coffin.
In addition to the members of the royal family, more than 150 heads of state and government from all over the world paid their last respects to the monarch.
After the funeral service, the procession continued along The Mall.

Those who weren't at the Mall followed the funeral service on large screens in the surrounding parks.
In the afternoon, the Queen's last journey began: the coffin was transported from London to Windsor, 35 kilometers away.
There, in the royal crypt in St. George's Chapel, the Queen will find her final resting place in the evening after a service - next to her husband Prince Philipp.
