I first tasted yogurt pancakes at my mother-in-law, Marga, from Kibbutz Ramot Menashe and was surprised by their soft, mellow texture and delicate taste. She told me that in the early 1970s, the basic ingredient of the dish was white and the recipe circulated in the family and on the kibbutz. Since then, she has updated it and made changes to it, which have also made it nutritious and healthy.
Recipe for yogurt pancakes
Components
Base of the mixture:
- Greek yogurt cup (130g)
- 2 tablespoons flour (gluten-free)
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 2-3 eggs according to (egg size)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Changes you can make:
- Instead of sugar - 1 grated apple / half a mashed banana
- Add a tablespoon of almond butter

Method of preparation
To serve
- White cheese can be mixed with honey and a dash of vanilla extract and served alongside the pancakes.
- You can also serve alongside the pancakes: honey, maple syrup, white cheese and more.
