Holidaymakers should know the traffic rules in France.
Traffic signs in particular are often a big unknown.
Anyone who ignores them will face a fine.
Munich – Brie, baguette, croissant and more: France attracts holidaymakers from Germany year after year.
The food is delicious and the journey to the neighboring country is quite short.
However, if you travel by car, you should take a close look at the traffic rules - like in Italy.
After all, traffic signs are not the same everywhere.
Holidaymakers should take a closer look at the sign with a white diamond on a blue background - and remember its meaning.
Vacationers in France should know a traffic sign - failure to comply can result in a fine of up to 135 euros
The sign indicates a separate lane that may only be used by buses, electric cars, carpools and taxis.
The violation is punished with a fine of up to 135 euros.
The ADAC traffic club pointed this out on Facebook.
According to the ADAC, compliance with the regulation should even be monitored by radar devices.
The sign can be supplemented with further information about the time.

As
chip.de

At the time, the French government stated that the motivation for introducing the new sign was to support the formation of carpools and thus make a contribution to environmental protection.

As a rule, the sign refers to the left lane on highways.
The goal: traffic congestion at the exits should be minimized.
If the track is time-limited, this is indicated either by the sign lighting up or by an additional sign with the corresponding times, as
chip.de
explained.
In Germany, too, there is sometimes confusion on the roads.
Do you know the difference between these two street signs?
They look almost the same.
