Highlights: The Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid bought two oil paintings by the Argentine artist Alicia Herrero. The Huacos Erotic series deconstructs, through various paintings, objects and drawings, an archeology of signs that crosses Western and Latin American cultural elements. It is a work from 1992 that shows a huaco, the ancestral ceramics of the Jujuy region along with strawberries, which is a reiterated element in Herrero's work and symbolizes the food of desire.


They are two oil paintings from the Erotic Huacos series. They were acquired in the gallery space Herlitzka & Co. at the Arco Madrid fair.
