The custody of the schoolboy, arrested on Friday after threatening the principal with a knife at the Edouard-Herriot college in Chenôve, was extended this Saturday.
The public prosecutor of Dijon, Olivier Caracotch, announced this in a press release.
Police custody is expected to continue until Sunday, according to Le Bien Public.
The head of the college managed to escape from her office, triggering the alarm, indicated the rector of the Dijon academy, Pierre N'Gahane.
The police, who were intervening nearby, were able to arrest the 3rd grade student “very quickly,” he added.
